1. Introduction & Agreement
Welcome to the official membership website (“Site”) of the Association of Resident Doctors, ESUT Teaching Hospital, Parklane (“ARD,” “Association,” “we,” “us,” “our”).
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of this Site, its content, and its services. This Site is intended to serve as a platform for our members, primarily for advocacy on member welfare and for the coordination of health campaigns.
By accessing, browsing, or using this Site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy (which is incorporated herein by reference).

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Site.
2. Eligibility and Membership
Access to and use of this Site is restricted to active, verified members of the Association of Resident Doctors, ESUTH Parklane.
- You represent and warrant that you are a resident doctor currently practicing at Enugu State University of Technology (ESUT) Teaching Hospital, Parklane.
- Your access to this Site is contingent upon your being a member in good standing with the Association.
- We reserve the right to deny or revoke access to any user who does not meet these eligibility requirements, at our sole discretion.
3. Account Registration and Security
- Account Creation: To access member-only areas, you must register for an account and provide accurate, current, and complete information as prompted by the registration form.
- Account Security: You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password and for all activities that occur under your account.
- Unauthorized Use: You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. The Association will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account.
- One Account: You agree to not create more than one personal account.
4. Membership Dues and Access
This Site is a resource for our members. Access to certain features or the Site as a whole is tied to your financial and professional standing within the Association.
Failure to pay required association dues or falling out of good standing with the ARD, ESUTH Parklane may result in the suspension or termination of your website account, in addition to other association-level sanctions.
5. Acceptable Use and Member Conduct
You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else’s use and enjoyment of the Site. Your use of the Site is strictly for purposes related to the Association’s mission, including welfare advocacy and health campaigns.
Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:
- Violating Confidentiality: Sharing any patient-identifiable information, or any other information that breaches medical ethics or patient confidentiality. This is strictly forbidden.
- Harassment and Abuse: Posting, sending, or transmitting any discriminatory content, harassing, defamatory, obscene, indecent, or threatening.
- Misinformation: Knowingly posting false or misleading information.
- Illegal Activities: Using the Site to conduct or promote any illegal activity.
- Commercial Use: Using the Site for any commercial solicitation, advertising, or “spam” not explicitly authorized by the Association’s executive council.
- Infringing Intellectual Property: Uploading or sharing any content that you do not have the right to reproduce or distribute.
- Disrupting the Site: Knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, or other malicious code; attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or any connected database.
Violation of these conduct rules may result in the immediate suspension or termination of your account and potential reporting to Association leadership or relevant authorities.
6. Content and Intellectual Property
- Association Content: All content on this Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software (“Site Content”), is the property of the Association of Resident Doctors, ESUTH Parklane, or its licensors and is protected by Nigerian and international copyright and trademark laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to access and use the Site Content for your personal, non-commercial use in connection with your membership.
- User-Generated Content: If you post or upload content to the Site (e.g., in a forum or comment section), you retain ownership of your content. However, you grant the Association a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute your content in connection with the Site and the Association’s mission (e.g., for display in a forum).
- Responsibility for Content: You are solely responsible for any content you post and the consequences of posting it. The Association does not endorse and is not responsible for the content posted by its members.
7. Privacy

8. Termination or Suspension

- No Medical Advice: The content on this Site, including health campaign materials, is for informational, educational, and advocacy purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice for any specific patient or condition and does not create a doctor-patient relationship. Members must always exercise their independent professional clinical judgment.
- No Advocacy Guarantee: The Association’s advocacy efforts are undertaken on behalf of the collective. Use of this Site does not guarantee any specific individual welfare outcome, benefit, or change in employment terms.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Nigerian law, the Association of Resident Doctors, ESUTH Parklane (including its executive council, officers, and agents) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, opportunities, or reputation, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site.
11. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Association of Resident Doctors, ESUTH Parklane, and its leadership from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Site, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Enugu State, Nigeria.
